Lieutenant Colonel Laeeq Baig Mirza was a serving military personnel in the Pakistan Army (12th Azad Kashmir Regiment). He was off-duty and went to visit the ZIARAT (a highly attracted tourist destination in Balochistan, Pakistan) with his family.
On 12th July while he was on his way to ZIARAT with his family members while Afghanistan-based Indian Backed terrorist organization BLA (Balochistan Liberation Army) had already planned abduction of the Lieutenant Colonel Laeeq Baig Mirza. The armed terrorists had set up roadblock in Warchom area of Ziarat, Balochistan and were checking all the vehicles.
Lieutenant Colonel Laeeq Baig Mirza’s car was intercepted by Indian Backed BLA Terrorists, the armed terrorists cowardly kidnapped the off duty personnel while he was with his family. His family (women and children) were let go off.
After he was kidnapped, Pakistan Army, Pakistan Army aviation branch and Frontier Corps immediately started operations to rescue the kidnapped Lieutenant Colonel. According to the locals, they saw a continual activity of military helicopters was observed as a large scale search operation was underway by Special Service Group (SSG) and Pak Army Aviation to track the Indian Backed Terrorists who had abducted the Lieutenant Colonel Laeeq.
Chief Minister of Balochistan, Abdul Quddus Bizenjo condemned the abduction and kidnapping of the off duty Lieutenant Colonel Laeeq Baig Mirza and ordered an investigation.
Later Lieutenant Colonel Laeeq Baig Mirza was brutally killed by the Indian Backed terrorist organization BLA (Balochistan Liberation Army).
The Shaheed Lieutenant Colonel’s Janaza was held on 14th July,2022 (Thursday) at 01:30pm at Musa Stadium, Balochistan.
