Note: This article discusses the induction of DongFeng Mengshi GEN-III CSK-182 APC into Pakistan Army.

The Pakistan Army has inducted the DongFeng Mengshi GEN-III CSK-182 4×4 Armored Personnel Carrier (APC). The 8-tonne armored off-road tactical vehicle is made by the Chinese company DongFeng and provides the 8 inhabitants it can carry full protection from bullets of 7.62mm caliber and IED shrapnel. The vehicle can also be fitted with a remote-controlled turret, ring mount or an open-top turret located at the top front, which can be armed with a 12.7mm machine gun, grenade launchers or anti-tank and anti-air missiles. The variant has improved satellite communication capability, all-terrain off-road capability, longer range night-vision cameras and most importantly, Mine-Resistant Ambush Protection (MRAP) and mobile assault capability. It has a top speed of 120 km/h and a range of 600 kilometers.

Pakistan Army Infantry Branch has initially ordered 300 units of the vehicle, deliveries of which started in 2021 and ended this year.

The APC was chosen as the next-generation tactical vehicle of the PLA in 2017.

Specialized variants are also available other than the standard APC configuration including battlefield ambulance, signals/electronic intelligence, command, and control vehicle (as shown in video which is of a Pakistan Army CSK-182 in transport) or as a platform for heavy weapons: heavy machine guns, rockets and ATGM/MANPADS missile launcher.
