On 7th June 2002 at 2300 hrs. an IAF Israeli -Made UAV (Searcher II) penetrated in Pakistan’s Air Space.
F-16B 82605 flown by Sq Ldr Zulfiqar Ayub & Sq Ldr Afzal Awan engaged the UAV near Lahore at 13000 ft & shoot it down with an AIM-9L Sidewinder. It was first ever UAV A2A kill at night.
