J-10D or J-10CY (J-10D/CY) is a new variant of J-10 fighter jet based on J-10C fighter jet (Serial no. 701) with Enlarged Dorsal Spine (EDS) which means it has capacity to carry more avionics or subsystems (EW Capabilities).
However its too early to say anything regarding its capabilities.
We are expecting addition of Conformal Fuel Tanks (CFTs) in this particular variant just like F-16 Block-50 & above.
The spine is used in the F-16D Block 52 as well (dual seat, not single seat) to house specialized avionics.
